Calling All Accordionists!

The Roland U.S. V-Accordion Festival is now accepting entries! All accordion players are encouraged to enter the festival for a chance at winning an incredible prize package. The V-Accordion Festival is easier than ever to enter and provides a great opportunity to compete at a high level. The winner of the Roland U.S. V-Accordion Festival will receive an awesome prize package containing: a brand new Roland FR-8X accordion, and a paid trip to Italy where they will compete, representing the U.S. in the Roland International V-Accordion Festival 2013.

My name is Alicia Baker, and I was awarded the honor of representing the U.S. at the Roland V-accordion International Competition in 2009. From personal experience, I can attest that attending the festival was an absolute blast. There are many reasons this festival is wonderful: meeting other fabulous accordion players from all around the world, sharing music, experimenting with the Roland V-Accordion, learning about new accordion techniques and repertoire from other players, and getting to go to Italy.

Audition for the V-Accordion Festival…

The entry is simple: submit an audition video and fill out the application — that’s it!  You do not need a Roland accordion to submit an audition video; you can use any accordion, digital or acoustic.  You must be 18 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen to enter. After all audition videos are submitted by the August 18 deadline, three finalists will be selected. Those three U.S. finalists will all be loaned a Roland FR-7X accordion to practice and use for their final video submission. The winner chosen from the final round will receive the amazing prize package! Now go make your video!
