Daniel Powter Building On “A Bad Day” By Tiffany Schirz Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter released his debut album “I’m Your Betty” back in 2000, and saw two of its songs: “More Than I” and “Negative Fashion” featured on the television show Higher Ground. It was his breakout hit, “Bad Day,” though, that propelled him to superstardom in 2005. The song earned him a Grammy nomination and peaked at #1 on the Billboard charts, and was featured extensively on the TV show American Idol in its fifth season. Powter himself appeared on the show at the end of the sixth season to perform the song. Powter used a Roland RD-600 Stage Piano exclusively on “Bad Day,” and these days he’s getting into the KR-117M Digital Grand. For more information on Daniel Powter, visit www.danielpowter.com.
