It’s designed to be versatile and flexible for any musical application.

Unlike some other percussion pads on the market, the OCTAPAD SPD-30 features superior pad-sensing technology that responds to all the dynamics of your playing. Each pad is a separate, isolated unit, providing the ultimate in sensitivity with complete crosstalk rejection.

With its large backlit LCD and intuitive interface, navigating menus and editing parameters on the OCTAPAD SPD-30 is extremely easy. The pads also feature illuminated LEDs, helpful for performing in low-light settings.

World-Class Sounds

The OCTAPAD SPD-30 includes more than 600 drum and percussion sounds from around the world suited to cover any musical style. Arranged in 50 kits, the sounds are dynamic and expressive, and range from traditional to contemporary to exotic. You can customize the sounds with the onboard controls by adjusting tuning, muffling, attack, pitch sweep, and more. With 30 types of multi-effects onboard, EQ, limiter, and seven Ambience types onboard, sound creation options are even more powerful. You can also layer two sounds per pad to create an incredible number of sound combinations.

Onboard Recording

The onboard Phrase Loop function is a powerful creative for both recording and live use. With Phrase Loop you can quickly record your playing in real time and overdub up to three layers per phrase. Fifty phrases can be stored internally on the OCTAPAD SPD-30, and you can also save your Phrase Loop data using an optional USB thumb drive.

Expandable Connectivity

The external trigger/control inputs allow players to connect additional pads and a hi-hat controller to create a powerful yet portable mini-electronic kit.

The OCTAPAD SPD-30 is also compatible with Roland RT-Series acoustic drum triggers, allowing additional options for drummers who want to add electronics to their acoustic drum set.

With USB connectivity for both data backup and MIDI, allowing players to expand their recording capabilities with personal computers. Standard MIDI connections are also included, allowing connection to external sound modules, samplers and other MIDI devices.
