Roland’s Newest Digital Pianos for Worship

Roland Digital Pianos (Photo)

At the recent NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, Roland introduced pianos that may have the most useful feature for worship leaders since the hymnal. Well, that may be going a bit far, but they do have something that takes tradition into the 21st century: .WAV file/CD playback and transposition.

FP-7 & FP-4 Digital Pianos
FP-4 (Photo) In addition to Roland’s legendary weighted action with real hammers and ultra-authentic grand piano sounds, the FP-7 has something totally unique: Audio Keys. The bottom 14 keys on the FP-7 can be assigned to trigger audio phrases or entire songs. One Audio Key could be the verse, another the chorus, another the bridge, and so on. This means totally spontaneous control of song structure and continuous flow in worship. Or, make each Audio Key a different song and have the whole set at your fingertips. The keys trigger .WAV or .MID files stored on your USB flash memory drive – up to 2GB!

With the same amazing piano sounds as its big brother, the FP-4 is even more affordable and streamlined. Plus, it comes in both black and white finishes to suit any worship environment.

RG-3 Digital Grand
Sounds like a grand piano, plays like a grand piano for sure, but the RG-3 takes authenticity to the next level with the look of a grand piano. Even the keys themselves have Roland’s new “Ivory Feel” for an even more complete piano experience. Plug in a USB flash memory drive and playback your .WAV and .MID files for accompanying worship tracks. The RG-3 is an attractive and versatile addition to any house of worship.

HP-207 (Photo)

HP-207 Digital Upright Piano
With its refined appearance and stunningly realistic sound, your senses will instantly recognize the HP-207 as a beautiful piano. However, the power of this instrument provides pianists with even more expressive potential. When you plug an external USB CD-ROM drive into the HP-207, you can instantly transpose any CD into your favorite key. You can even remove the lead vocal from the mix! The same is true for .WAV files stored on a USB flash memory drive. This kind of flexibility is ideal for worship music.
