ROLAND RELEASES RTAS EDITOR FOR SONIC CELL

New Software Editor Allows For Pro Tools Integration

Los Angeles, CA, January 15, 2009 — Roland is pleased to announce a new RTAS-compatible software editor for Roland’s highly-acclaimed Sonic Cell Synthesizer Module. Along with the already-supported Audio Units and VSTi formats, the addition of RTAS support will enable Pro Tools users to add the power of Roland’s Sonic Cell to their digital audio workstation.

Sonic Cell is a dream for computer-based musicians who need a compact, integrated, professional sound module with the legendary sound quality of a Roland hardware synthesizer. The Sonic Cell easily integrates within DAW applications via its onboard USB MIDI interface and editor software, which provides plug-in type control of patch creation, mixing of the Sonic Cell’s 16-part multi-timbral sound engine and multi-effects routing.
