ROLAND CONTEMPORARY KEYBOARDS RELEASES THE RG-3 DIGITAL GRAND
Elegant, Space-Saving Grand
Los Angeles, CA, January 18, 2007—The stylish RG-3 mini grand offers many of the superb features found in Roland’s high-end RG-7, including Roland’s finest stereo piano sounds under the control of an authentic progressive hammer-action keyboard technology. Perfect for homes, hotels, restaurants, and other environments that can benefit from a great-sounding, great-looking digital piano, the RG-3 is beautiful, easy to position in the room, and attractively priced.
The RG-3 is equipped with Roland’s finest 88-key concert grand sound, featuring individual multisamples for every key. It’s touch responsive to the subtlest pressure and nuance — from the deepest, most powerful bass to the most delicate high notes.
For the most authentic acoustic grand piano feel, the RG-3 incorporates Roland’s new PHA II “Ivory Feel” keyboard with Escapement. This amazing new keyboard technology reproduces the real feel of ivory for the natural keys and ebony for the sharps. The natural keys have a 2-piece structure, which consists of base- and surface-material layers. This reproduces stability and comfort of a real acoustic-piano keyboard.
The RG-3 delivers a rich, realistic acoustic grand piano sound with its onboard 4-speaker sound system. Volume issues are a thing of the past; players can simply adjust the volume of the internal sound system up or down to suit the environment. The RG-3 offers a headphone output as well, for practicing in private.
The RG-3 can also play songs by itself* — ideal for parties and gatherings. Simply load any Standard MIDI File into the RG-3, and enjoy as your favorite songs play back automatically. The RG-3 is equipped with a USB port that can be used to input Standard MIDI Files and audio (.wav) files; just connect an external CD-ROM drive or a USB flash memory device, sold separately.
*Note: While the RG-3 can play songs automatically, it does not have the player-piano-type “moving keys” feature of the RG-7.
