Roland Corporation US Announces Reorganization

Los Angeles, CA, August 24, 2005— Roland Corporation U.S. is proud to announce a top-down restructuring of the Los Angeles based organization. Effective immediately BOSS U.S. and Roland U.S. will function as two entirely autonomous companies, complete with separate management and support staff. These recent streamlining measures will allow the two businesses to focus their efforts on Roland and BOSS product sold nationwide.

As the sales of BOSS products continue to grow at exponential levels, BOSS is dedicated to maintaining its position as the leader in effects pedals, tuners, and accessories. Coupled with its growing prominence in the recording product category, which includes the popular BR-Digital Recording product line, BOSS has earned unmatched respect and trust among dealers and end users alike.

Roland President Dennis Houlihan related, “This new reorganization will allow BOSS to further expand its product proliferation in the marketplace, and launch additional focus-driven sales and marketing campaigns moving forward.”

The recent changing of the guard includes the following appointments:

Paul Youngblood — Vice President / BOSS U.S. Paul Youngblood has been promoted to the role of Vice President of BOSS U.S.

Houlihan says, “In his new position, Youngblood will be the driving force behind all BOSS-related activities, including sales, marketing, promotion, telemarketing, and advertising for the newly created company. A 20-year veteran of Roland Corporation U.S., Youngblood has worked in a number of capacities within the Roland MI Division throughout his career, most recently as Director of Sales. He brings the new company a unique combination of passion and talent that includes countless sales management achievements, 20 years of real-world experience within the company, and a body of BOSS knowledge that is second to none.”

NEW DIVISIONS AND PROMOTIONS WITHIN ROLAND U.S. MI
In addition to the creation of BOSS U.S. Roland has also divided its Musical Instruments Division to reflect three separate product-focused branches, including:

Electronic Percussion Division
Steve Fisher, Division Manager

Guitar Products, Amplifiers and Accessories Division
Peter Swiadon, Division Manager

Keyboards, Synthesizers, Recording Products Division
Doug Hanson, Division Manager

Chris Bristol — Senior Vice President Roland U.S.
Chris Bristol has been promoted to the new position of Senior Vice President.

Houlihan relates, “A 27-year veteran of the organization, Chris Bristol’s leadership and skill in the Musical Instruments Division has helped navigate Roland’s course to greatness. This promotion recognizes his experience and incalculable contributions to the success of Roland U.S.”
