ROLAND CORPORATION US TEAMS UP WITH HERMES MUSIC

STAY TUNED FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION CLINICS IN CITIES NEAR YOU!

Los Angeles, Calif, August 31, 2004—On Tuesday August 24th, Roland Corporation US and San Antonio based Hermes Music hosted a music production clinic that featured Roland heavyweight products including the MV-8000 Production Studio, the Fantom-X Workstation Keyboard series and the SP-606 Sampling Workstation. The clinic, headed up by celebrated music producer and Roland Product and Marketing Specialist Warren Harris, was a resounding success with local hip-hop / dance producers and musicians.

Harris kicked off the clinic by demonstrating the latest features of the MV-8000 Production Studio which has recently been embraced by producer power-hitters including Jermaine Dupri and Armand Van Helden. Harris then walked the crowd through MV-8000 Version 2.0 software, which now offers MV-8000 customers VGA output capability---the first product of its kind to offer this feature.

Harris relates, "We had quite an enthusiastic crowd at Hermes. The energy and excitement were contagious. Clinic attendees were blown away by the power and ease of use of the Roland MV-8000— especially the real-time time-stretching element on the unit. That was definitely one of the favored features."

Harris also demonstrated the dynamic sound capabilities and midi/audio sequencing on the Roland Fantom-X Series workstations and closed the music production clinic with an action-packed and informative SP-606 Sampling Workstation presentation. The first co-developed product from the Roland/Cakewalk alliance, this dynamic new groove box comes bundled with P606 software.

At the end of the session Harris headed up a question and answer period where he shared his experience and technical advice on the Roland products.
