ROLAND CORPORATION U.S. ROLLS OUT MUSIC FOR LIFE SITE
Music Making For The Young At Heart
Los Angeles, CA, August 5, 2004—Roland Corporation is proud to announce the roll-out of their new Music for Life website. The site, which focuses on music-making and the senior crowd, aims to entertain and inform with headlining articles, class information, songs of the month, and a free monthly newsletter.According to Dr. Alicia Ann Clair, Director of Music Therapy at the University of Kansas, "Participating in and learning to make one’s own music appeals to people of all ages. However, it is often especially appealing to older adults who value wellness and prevention of disease, because involvement with music tends to promote physical and psychological well-being."
"It is never too late to start making music," says Roland Contemporary Keyboard General Manager Lynda Smith. "We are thrilled to be able to offer such a remarkable and user-friendly resource that encourages music-making in ways that are both non-threatening and entertaining. For instance, our Club Roland course not only provides a way for seniors to learn to play music, but it also invites them into an energy-charged environment where they are able to interact and socialize, make new friends, relieve stress and anxiety, and participate in group activities including sing-a-longs, concerts and other fun musical activities."
Seniors are urged to check out www.RolandUS.com/MusicforLife/ to find out how they can get started making music - today!
