BOSS CELEBRATES 8 MILLION SOLD!

Compact Pedal Giant Stomps Into the New Year

Los Angeles, January 26, 2004—BOSS, a leader in legendary guitar effects and stomp boxes, is proud to announce the kickoff of its 8 Million Sold campaign for BOSS compact guitar pedals. The celebratory launch will include a massive web push, targeted print exposure and a partnership with legendary guitar heavy, John Petrucci.

BOSS revved up its compact pedal line back in the late 70s with the classic OD-1 Overdrive which proceeded to set the standard for excellence in the marketplace. Today BOSS compact pedals have become a quintessential staple in guitar rigs across the world. Their rugged construction and unprecedented sound quality has made them some of the most popular compact pedals on the planet.

"There's been a lot of stomping going on at the BOSS factory for over a quarter of a century," says Peter Swiadon, BOSS Product Manager for Guitar Products. "And our research and design team keeps pushing the envelope and making these pedals even better every year. We're gearing up to sell another 8 million."

Guitar hero and BOSS guitar pedal advocate John Petrucci of Dream Theatre fame, has joined the 8 Million Sold campaign and will be featured in BOSS compact pedal advertisements that will be revealed over the next few months. Petrucci has been using BOSS pedals for over twenty years and they are an important part of his live and studio rigs.
