ROLAND ANNOUNCES NEW COMPACT DIGITAL STUDIO MONITORS

-10/20 Offer 24-bit/96kHz Monitoring at a Great Price

Anaheim, January 15, 2004—Roland is proud to announce the DM-10 and DM-20 Digital Stereo Micro Monitors. These compact powered monitors bring 24-bit/96kHz digital sound quality to a very affordable price. The DM-10 offers 10 watts per side, while the DM-20 boasts 20 watts, plus independent transformers and power amps for each speaker cabinet. Both monitors are perfect for use with Roland/BOSS digital studios, computer-based studios or other nearfield monitoring applications.

Whether placed in a studio or computer-based setup, the DM-Series’ new black finish and wooden bass-reflex cabinets give these speakers a look befitting of monitors costing much more. But it’s not just about looks; the cabinet is also designed to perfectly compliment the amp and speakers, resulting in the best possible sound. Coaxial and optical digital inputs with 24-bit/96kHz sound quality eliminate the line-loss and hum of analog cabling, leaving nothing but the most pure representation of the mix.

For maximum convenience, the DM-Series’ controls are placed on the front of the speaker. Users can easily adjust the input volume for each channel and the treble and bass using the knobs. The power switch is also front-mounted for easy access, along with a stereo headphones jack for silent monitoring.

Connections include stereo miniature and RCA analog inputs (DM-10), 1/4-inch and RCA analog inputs (DM-20), plus coaxial and optical digital inputs on both models. The speaker cabinets are magnetically shielded for use near computer monitors.
