V-Synth.com: Refill Patches

During tracking making and at live concerts, or even for film music, the V-Synth is considered as a valuable instrument from professional musicians. General Patch Collection #2 can cover a wide range of musical genres, and once again it raises the potential of the V-Synth.

Patches with icon use additional waves which are new waveforms included in the download file. Roland owns the copyrights to the waveforms, and they can be utilized freely for your song composition.

Description

001	Machinedrive (Rhythmic Sequence)
	By over-modifying a rhythm phrase, and then combining it to a techno loop, a new beat is born. Trace circles with the TimeTrip Pad to fast-forward or to rewind the loop.
002	S&H Formant (Synth)
	The VariPhrase is capable of drawing out the potential of any synth waveform. For this Patch which uses a Wave from the JP-8000, rhythmic changes are applied by using the Formant LFO.
003	Layered Gtr (Bass/Guitar)
	This interesting guitar sound is from just one simple guitar slide sample.
004	Frozen Space (Pad/Strings)
	The playback speed of this human voice waveform is set to a very slow rate. Usually the textural transitions passes by quickly, but in this Patch, you can hear those transitions.
005	Float Piano (Piano/Keyboards)
	A sound with a floating feel. A reversed piano and a cute percussion loop are overlapped.
006	Kick Bass 2 (Bass/Guitar)
	The attack of this bass sound is emphasized. This Patch uses V-Synth’s unique Impact parameter for Analog waveform, and also the TB Filter.
007	Thick Brass (Winds)
	This brass sound possesses the characteristics of both a fat Analog wave and a realistic PCM wave.
008	1FingrAdd9th (Melodic Sequence)
	COSM’s Side Band Filter gives the original drum loop a pitch, and then the arpeggiator constructs a chord. By moving your finger left and right on the TimeTrip Pad, the original drum loop will appear.
009	Drown Arp (Rhythmic Sequence)
	Go under water with this arpeggio Patch. The sound goes through various changes by using the controllers such as the D Beam, TimeTrip Pad, and the Modulation Lever.
010	GR Lead (Lead)
	A simple and standard lead sound of a guitar synthesizer.
011	Stacking 5th (Melodic Sequence)
	There are many factors that are blended in for this Patch with various sound changes; overlapped delay effect that is the 5th to the pitch, reversed guitar phrase, and Analog wave’s LFO.
012	Electricmoon (Bell/Mallet/Hit)
	A combination between an Analog wave, and a hit-type sound that was edited by VariPhrase for a more percussive sound.
013	Space Speak (Vox/Choir)
	Choir with rich textural movements. The movements are created by taking a single human voice phrase, and then combining it with the same phrase that is reversed.
014	Organoscape (Piano/Keyboards)
	LFO’s Sample & Hold Wave randomly controls the Time of a rotary organ to create tonal changes.
015	SBF4External (Combination/Others)
	You can apply COSM’s Side Band Filter to an external sound source from the Mic/Line Input. The amount of filter can be adjusted by the velocity from the keyboard. “Play an audio” as if you are playing an instrument. Something that was impossible before. *Since this Patch is for use with external input, sounds will not be produced only by playing the keyboard. Please refer below for settings.

Procedures for external input Patches

	Connect devices such as CD players to the Input Jack(s) on the rear panel.

	Set the gain switch to LINE.

	Set the input mode (Stereo or Mono) by first pressing MODE Button and then select SYSTEM. Next set the “External Input Type” of the IO to match the connected device. Finally, press WRITE.

	Adjust the input volume on the front panel. An appropriate level is when the Peak Indicator blinks when the V-Synth receives maximum level from the sound source. Instead of devices such as CD players, microphones can be used as well. When using microphones, set the gain switch to MIC on the rear panel.

001	Coltish EP (Piano/Keyboards)
	To get this rhythmic electric piano, the Sample & Hold Wave of the LFO shakes the Formant.
002	Abbey Chord (Melodic Sequence)
	COSM’s Side Band Filter gives the percussion loop a pitch, and then the arpeggiator constructs a chord. You can get parallel chord progressions by pressing the keys on the keyboard.
003	PerlonGuitar (Bass/Guitar)
	To emphasize the attack for this guitar sound, a metallic percussion sound is combined into a nylon guitar sound.
004	DeformSinPad (Pad/Strings)
	It's hard to believe that this Patch is made from a Sine Wave of a single Oscillator. But it's possible with V-Synth's unique parameters.
005	Tin Voice (VoX/Choir)
	Notice the unique attack that is similar to a flute’s grace note. The original source is a human voice.
006	ReversedGlck (Bell/Mallet/Hit)
	A Patch that combines a bell sound created from the Analog Oscillator, and a reversed glockenspiel phrase.
007	2D Arp (Arpeggio)
	A loop Wave from the legendary D-50 can become brand new with VariPhrase.
008	IntoDarkness (FX/Noise/Ambient)
	The arpeggiater uses the sounds that are split between 7 keyboard Zones. By controlling the TimeTrip Pad, a drum phrase will start to appear.
009	DrunkTrumpet (Winds)
	For this Patch, by shaking the Time and Pitch of the Oscillator, you get a drunk trumpet player.
010	Glass Organ (Piano/Keyboards)
	COSM’S Side Band Filter is applied to a bell phrase, and then combined with Analog Wave to create an organ sound with textural movements.
011	Power Clav (Piano/Keyboards)
	The attack is emphasized for this simple clavinet sound. No other synthesizer can produce this unique tonal change from the keyboard's velocity.
012	Bass&Cutting (Combination/Others)
	This Patch is split into 2 Zones. Like in the MP3 preview, you can play bass on the left side, and play guitar chords on the right side.
013	FunkyDrummer (Rhythmic Sequence)
	By pressing the keyboard in any way, an automatic drum phrase can be easily played.
014	VelvetyChoir (Vox/Choir)
	A soft choir sound that mixes two human voices. The two voices are slowed down by VariPhrase.
015	Filter Bank (Combination/Others)
	”Filter Bank” for external audio input. In half-steps from middle C, the keyboard is split into 16 Zones, and different filters are assigned to each Zone. By just pressing the keys in order, you can easily modify audio from the external input. *Since this Patch is for use with external input, sounds will not be produced only by playing the keyboard. Please refer below for settings.
