More Info

Classroom Maestro
This is a brand new software program that serves as an intelligent, electronic blackboard for music instruction. This electronic blackboard provides the teacher with a musical grand staff and on-screen keyboard display, both of which work seamlessly with the teacher’s MIDI keyboard.
By playing notes on his/her MIDI keyboard, the teacher can easily and quickly display those same notes on the musical staff and on-screen keyboard as:

  • Single notes
  • Chords
  • Scales
  • Hand positions

Classroom Maestro can display key signatures and understands the subtle differences between major and minor keys. Based on this intelligence, Classroom Maestro always shows notes on the staff with the correct musical spelling (such as C-sharp vs. D-flat, vs. B-double sharp).

Home Concert Xtreme
Home Concert is an intelligent, interactive software program for:
  • Demonstrating a piece of music to a class
  • Learning to play a piece
  • Practicing or performing a piece with an accompaniment that actually follows you

Home Concert works with Standard MIDI Files, such as the thousands of published MIDI files that coordinate with various keyboard, instrumental, and general music curricula. Home Concert also works with MIDI files that you make yourself using the recording features of your keyboard, a music notation program, a music sequencing program, or an auto-arranger.

To use Home Concert, you simply start the program, load a Standard MIDI File, and choose the tracks that you intend to play. Home Concert will show you your part in standard music notation.

As you use your MIDI keyboard to play the music on the computer screen, Home Concert tracks your location, tempo, and dynamics. Based on the settings that you choose, Home Concert will “turn your pages” automatically, coordinate the accompaniment tracks with your changing tempo and dynamics, and even jump to another part of the music if you jump.

Within reason, Home Concert will track your performance despite errors of rhythm or notes.

In addition, Home Concert provides a suite of features for learning a piece of music and editing its display on the screen.

Classroom Maestro and Home Concert Xtreme are compatible with Windows XP and Mac OS X. Home Concert 2000 (also included) is for Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and Mac OS 7.1 – 9.x
