TRI-CAPTURE, UA-33: Setting Up a Guitar for Monitoring and Recording

The following example will guide you through the proper settings to monitor incoming audio in real-time for a connected guitar:

  1. Lower the PHONES knob completely counter-clockwise.

  2. Connect your guitar to INPUT2 (GUITAR) on the back panel of the TRI-CAPTURE.

  3. Turn the volume up all the way on your guitar.

  4. Press the HI-Z button inward and then raise the INPUT2(GUITAR) knob to about 3 o'clock (pointed to the right).

  5. Press the REC MODE button until "ALL INPUTS" is selected.

  6. Press the OUTPUT MUTE switch so that the button is pressed outward.

  7. Press the INPUT MONITORING switch so that the button is pressed inward.

  8. Connect headphones to the PHONES jack or speakers to the L-OUTPUT-R jack.
    Note: if you have speakers connected, be sure that their power is on and their volume is down.

  9. Play your guitar and slowly raise the PHONES knob (if using headphones) or your speaker's volume (if using speakers) to hear the guitar.

You may now setup the TRI-CAPTURE driver within your software for recording.
