The GR-55 has the ability to assign various parameters such as ON/OFF switches for the four different tones, effects levels, effect on/off, and many more. These targeted parameters can be controlled by the CTL pedal on the GR-55.

NOTE: The assignment steps below offer basic functionality control of using the CTL pedal. If the assignment options available in these steps do not have the exact functionality you require, you may also view our ASSIGNMENTS article by clicking here. This can offer you more in-depth pedal assignment functions.

OPTION 1 - PATCH SETTING

The following steps will guide you assigning a function to the CTL pedal that can be stored into a patch and then recalled later when changing patches. This is useful if you would like the CTL pedal assignment that is stored in a patch to change when you recall different patches.

  1. Press the [EDIT] button.
  2. Press the [◄ ] PAGE [ ►] buttons to bring up the SYSTEM tab.
Note: Assignments and settings within the SYSTEM tab are global and are not patch dependent.
  3. Use the [▼▲◄ ►] buttons to select "PEDAL / GK CTL" and then press ENTER.
  4. Press the [◄ ] PAGE [ ►] buttons to bring up the CTL tab.
  5. Turn the dial to set the "CTL FUNCTION" to "PATCH SETTING". The CTL function is now set to be based on what assignment is stored within a patch. Let's now assign one to the CTL pedal and store it in a patch.
  6. Press the [EDIT] button.
  7. Press the [◄ ] PAGE [ ►] buttons to bring up the MASTER tab.

  9. Press the [◄ ] PAGE [ ►] buttons to bring up the CTL tab.
  10. Turn the dial to set the desired "CTL FUNCTION". A list and explanation of assignments can be found at the bottom of this article.
  11. Press the WRITE button.
