Serato DJ PRO 2.1.1 Public Beta Featuring Roland TR-SYNC Now Available
Beta TR-SYNC Functionality Connects Roland TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08 and TR-09 Drum Machines to Serato DJ Pro Setups
Roland’s latest TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08, and TR-09 drum machines are now Serato DJ OSA-ready thanks to Serato and the Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 Public Beta. The new TR-SYNC functionality allows beta DJ participants to effortlessly match the BPM of TR drum machines with Serato DJ Pro tracks. TR-SYNC also lets DJs add their own drum loops to songs containing the same Roland drum sounds used on the most popular tracks of yesterday and today. This gives DJs the ability to flip genres, beef up classic hits, remix, and transition between songs in cool new ways.
Roland TR Firmware Updates: TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08, TR-09
Connecting TR Drum Machines with Serato
Plug the USB from the TR drum machine into the computer running Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 Public Beta with supported hardware. Then connect the audio output to an available input on the DJ mixer or controller. Because Serato DJ Pro’s beta takes care of the sync, DJs can focus on their performance and new creative possibilities.
Stand Out from the Pack
Once DJs have mastered the basics of mixing and performance, they can stand out by adding a drum machine to the mix and expand their creative options substantially. DJs can layer complimentary rhythms over an existing track or use an acapella with loops they’ve created to bring brand-new, on-the-fly remixes to life. Adding the TR drum sounds can make classic songs sound “bigger” and can bridge music libraries across different genres. Instead of relying solely on record pools, DJs can now create their own signature edits and remixes for truly unique DJ sets.
