Roland instruments are designed to be satisfying for anyone to play, whether you’re a seasoned professional or a beginner just starting out. For the beginner, this means that your Roland instrument will support you as your skill level increases over time, and you’ll never be faced with restrictions in developing traditional playing techniques. For example, Roland will never create a piano with a “mini keyboard,” as this is restrictive to learning traditional piano technique. On the other hand, Roland is proud to be a leader in developing musical instruments with new and exciting technologies. Among our achievements are the world’s first guitar synthesizer, the world’s first touch-sensitive digital piano, and the mesh material in V-Drums® drum heads that provides a natural playing feel with a minimal level of acoustic noise.
