New Product: Roland Blues Cube Hot
Compact Guitar Amp with Authentic Tube Logic Tone

The Blues Cube Hot is available in Vintage Blonde or Black.
Roland has just introduced the Blues Cube Hot, a powerful compact combo with 30 watts of power and a 12-inch speaker. The latest member of the acclaimed Blues Cube guitar amp series is great for home and studio use, yet still delivers plenty of volume for gigging. Like all Blues Cube amps, the Blues Cube Hot features Roland’s Tube Logic design, which provides authentic tube tone and touch response with modern advantages like lighter weight and maintenance-free operation.
Small and Mighty
The Blues Cube Hot might be the smallest amp in the line, but it still packs a big punch. The single-channel configuration is easy to dial in, and provides a perfect platform for use with stompboxes. A wide range of sounds can be had via the Volume and Master knobs, from sparkling clean to aggressive crunch. A three-band EQ is included too, plus Boost and Tone switches for further tone shaping. There’s also a great-sounding reverb to add a little ambience to your tone as needed.
Lightweight and easy to carry, the Blues Cube Hot offers ample power for nightclub performances, local gigs, and rehearsals. The custom 12-inch speaker delivers a rich, full voice that’s enhanced with the amp’s classic open-back cabinet design and poplar construction.
Cranked Tones at Low Volumes
Like the other Blues Cube amps, the Blues Cube Hot features a variable power control that lets you get that satisfying, high-volume tube sound at levels that won’t get you fired or evicted. Settings of 0.5 W, 5 W, 15 W, and Max (full power) let you quickly throttle things back as needed for any playing situation, including bedroom use. Unlike simple attenuators that affect an amp’s sound and responsiveness, the Blues Cube Hot’s variable power control works with directly with the power supply, ensuring great tone even at the quietest settings.
Powerful Modern Features
On the amp’s rear panel, jacks are provided for remote control of the Boost and Tone functions via a footswitch such as the FS-6, FS-7, or FS-5U. Both the Line Out and Phones jacks deliver great-sounding direct tones, ideal for feeding a live PA mixer or quiet practicing at home. The amp also features USB connectivity, making it easy to capture record-ready tones directly into your favorite computer recording software.
Authentic Tube Tone with Tube Logic
The Blues Cube Hot features Roland’s Tube Logic design for authentic tube tone and touch response. Going far beyond modeling, the Tube Logic approach starts by carefully reproducing the inner workings of the revered tweed-era tube amp in every way, including preamp and output tube distortion characteristics, power supply compression, speaker interaction, and much more. If you love dialed-in vintage tube amps, you’ll love the Blues Cube Hot as well!
