Dan Silver Explains the “We Are Ever Lasting Silver Sessions” Remix Video

On June 30th, the remix of Standing Shadows‘ “We Are Everlasting Silver Sessions Remix” single and video was released on all digital outlets and featured on the front page of VEVO. Over the last year, the band has released several songs from their recording sessions at Rancho de la Luna studio in the famous Joshua Tree National Park with producer Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, UNKLE, Duke Spirit, The Cult) featuring engineer Ethan Allen (Gram Rabbit, Daniel Lanois, Spindrift). The remix is a break from the norm for the band whose influences consist of Muse, Arcade Fire, The National, Jesus And Mary Chain, Spiritualized, Interpol, Sigur Ros and oldies such as Beach Boys, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground and many more.

Omar Tavarez (Pitbull) Explains Playing Songs Live vs. The Album Recording

In this video Omar Tavarez, Musical Director and drummer for Pitbull‘s band, explains the dynamics of playing live the music from Pitbull’s recordings. Omar says that during the show he plays off the Pitbull’s vocal rhythm for added accents with drums and cymbals. According to Omar, in keeping to the integrity and familiarity of the original recording, Pitbull stresses to keep the playing and arrangements concise. This balance between the band’s talent, and keeping it simple, is what makes this show so exciting. While the audience comes to hear and watch something that is familiar to them from the radio or music videos, they also gain the added experience of watching The Agents deliver a world class performance. Robert “Bubby” Lewis Gets Funky With the VB-99

Robert “Bubby” Lewis is not only an incredibly talented composer, he is also a killer bass player. In this video, Bubby gets funky as he demonstrates one of his favorite patches in the Roland VB-99 V-Bass System.

Aside from being a touring musician, Bubby also produces and composes music for Marvel comics and FUNimation Entertainment. As a bass player, the VB-99 provides a wide spectrum of sounds that allow him to produce music without restrictions. A turn from the latest trends in POP music, Brittani explains that “Space For Music” is an organic and nostalgic experience to the days when musicians were heroes. Brittani limits the use of technology in terms of sampling and pre-recorded tracks on her album and relies on her organic musical abilities. In this video, Bubby explains his custom, GK-3B ready bass, how he uses it to control the Roland VB-99 V-Bass System and how expressive the V-Bass system can be.
