Now. That’s the time you want to enter the U.S. Nationals for the V-Drums® World Championship 2—you’ve only got until August 24th. In September, we’ll be holding semi-finals all over the country. In October, you’ll duke it out with America’s other best drummers at PASIC in Austin, TX, and next spring in Frankfurt, Germany, it’ll be all about world domination. There’ll be great prizes, celebrity judges and special guests. And, of course, victory.
Last week we had a chance to sit down with James Dewees, keyboard player for “My Chemical Romance” to discuss how he landed his current gig. It turns out that James has been involved with several bands including Coalesce, The Get Up Kids, New Found Glory, Leathermouth, and Reggie and the Full Effect. Playing, writing, and even singing in these bands coupled with an awesome personality and hard work ethic have ultimately propelled his career forward. James currently rocks the Jupiter-80 synth, Gaia SH-01 synth, and the RD-700NX digital piano in his rig. Stay tuned for more of James in future posts as this is only part one of our interview.
UPDATE: The entry period has closed. Thanks to all who participated.
