We took sometime with Russell Graham on his break from rehearsals for the 2012 BET Awards to discuss his set-up and work flow. He explains the challenges involved with live TV productions and accommodating various artist on the same show. According to Russell, he’s keeping it simple for the awards by using a VP-770 and two JUPITER-80s.
Last week we had a chance to sit down with James Dewees, keyboard player for “My Chemical Romance” to discuss how he landed his current gig. It turns out that James has been involved with several bands including Coalesce, The Get Up Kids, New Found Glory, Leathermouth, and Reggie and the Full Effect. Playing, writing, and even singing in these bands coupled with an awesome personality and hard work ethic have ultimately propelled his career forward. James currently rocks the Jupiter-80 synth, Gaia SH-01 synth, and the RD-700NX digital piano in his rig. Stay tuned for more of James in future posts as this is only part one of our interview.
