Roland TR-8S and TR-SYNC functionality with Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 Public Beta

Roland’s latest TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08, and TR-09 drum machines are now Serato DJ OSA-ready thanks to Serato and the Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 Public Beta. The new TR-SYNC functionality allows beta DJ participants to effortlessly match the BPM of TR drum machines with Serato DJ Pro tracks. TR-SYNC also lets DJs add their own drum loops to songs containing the same Roland drum sounds used on the most popular tracks of yesterday and today. This gives DJs the ability to flip genres, beef up classic hits, remix, and transition between songs in cool new ways.

DJs and remix producers go through great lengths to acquire track stems, loops, acapellas, and other bite-size sections of songs for sampling and remixing. On June 30th, the remix of Standing Shadows‘ “We Are Everlasting Silver Sessions Remix” single and video was released on all digital outlets and featured on the front page of VEVO. Over the last year, the band has released several songs from their recording sessions at Rancho de la Luna studio in the famous Joshua Tree National Park with producer Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, UNKLE, Duke Spirit, The Cult) featuring engineer Ethan Allen (Gram Rabbit, Daniel Lanois, Spindrift). The remix is a break from the norm for the band whose influences consist of Muse, Arcade Fire, The National, Jesus And Mary Chain, Spiritualized, Interpol, Sigur Ros and oldies such as Beach Boys, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground and many more.
