Still miss my FP-2 rhythm section that gave me a free fill every 8 bars. Replaced it with FP-4 because certain key contacts on the fp-2 kept popping (from wear I guess). And it was lighter. Any chance the FP-2 will get another production run? And why did they discontinue the 8 bar fill rhthym on the FP-4?
Thanks.
Jim

Hi Jim,
We do not expect another production run of FP-2 pianos – the current models are the FP-50 and FP-80. These include rhythms and the FP-80 has some of our arranger functionality – including a variation button that will trigger a fill as the pattern switches. You may want to check this model out:

Hi,
What is the difference between the Ivory feel-G (FP50) and the Ivory feel-S (FP80)? I had a chance to play the FP80 and I love the action and weight but is out of my budget. I am thinking of buying the FP50 but is near impossible to find one to test in South FL. I am afraid the FP-50 won’t feel like the other one and I will be disappointed.
Thank you.

Hello Fio,
The Ivory feel G action is physically lighter that the S action, so the feel is different. We talk to customers who prefer both of these actions over the other, so you should try to play it if you are able. Several other keyboards we make use this same action, so you can play any of these to get an ideal of the feel of the FP-50:

I called most of the stores in Los Angeles they do not carry these, need to be special order. I need to get a feel of the keyboard before I invest. Do you know of any stores in Los Angeles that carry them in store? Very interested on the FP50 seriously.

Hello,
Question: Does FP-50 have the jazz/scat/bebop sound/style?
Thanks – Roland

A piano instructor will usually prefer an acoustic piano as this allows the student to start on an acoustic instrument from the very start, which will help develop the most ideal technique from the very beginning.

We’re in the same boat as MickeyD. We live in Oakland, CA (near San Francisco) and are having a hard time locating a dealer with one in stock including the stand. We’re interested in a black one (piano and stand). What’s our best option for trying one of these out in our area before committing to buy it? Thanks for your help.

Having trouble finding an FP80 in-store to try out. Everything about it sounds great, but I don’t want to drop $2K+ on an internet purchase without ever having touched one. Don’t want to pay shipping both ways if it is not right. Local dealers want commitment to buy before they will order one. Ideas?

Hi MickeyD, where do you live? Perhaps I can assist with finding a location that has this unit on hand.
