We just received a really cool update from Michael Schack who’s currently on tour with Netsky (Boris Daenen). Micheal is responsible for keeping pace with the frantic drum and bass BPM that Netsky is known for. In our iPad user’s group magazine we asked Michael how fast he has to drum to which he answered, “The average tempo is like 175 beats per minute, but after an hour it feels more like 198!” More

David Fishof discusses Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp‘s history and it’s new permanent home in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Hotel. Since 1997, the camps have taken place in different cities in the United States, England, and the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. At Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp attendees, write and record music alongside famous talent, culminating in an event where attendees perform live on stage. More
A long time advocate of Roland products, Static Revenger AKA Dennis White is an extremely prolific, in-demand musician. His work spans a wide number of musical genres and styles and is perhaps best known for his EDM (electronic dance music) hits. In using the INTEGRA-7, Dennis explains that his turn around time for his projects has significantly decreased. Dennis explains, “The best part of all is that sound processing by the INTEGRA-7 is done at the speed of thought and is a piece of gear that should be in every professional studio.”
On June 30th, the remix of Standing Shadows‘ “We Are Everlasting Silver Sessions Remix” single and video was released on all digital outlets and featured on the front page of VEVO. Over the last year, the band has released several songs from their recording sessions at Rancho de la Luna studio in the famous Joshua Tree National Park with producer Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, UNKLE, Duke Spirit, The Cult) featuring engineer Ethan Allen (Gram Rabbit, Daniel Lanois, Spindrift). The remix is a break from the norm for the band whose influences consist of Muse, Arcade Fire, The National, Jesus And Mary Chain, Spiritualized, Interpol, Sigur Ros and oldies such as Beach Boys, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground and many more.
In this video Omar Tavarez, Musical Director and drummer for Pitbull‘s band, explains the dynamics of playing live the music from Pitbull’s recordings. Omar says that during the show he plays off the Pitbull’s vocal rhythm for added accents with drums and cymbals. According to Omar, in keeping to the integrity and familiarity of the original recording, Pitbull stresses to keep the playing and arrangements concise. This balance between the band’s talent, and keeping it simple, is what makes this show so exciting. While the audience comes to hear and watch something that is familiar to them from the radio or music videos, they also gain the added experience of watching The Agents deliver a world class performance.
